Help with Ashley’s Brain Surgery and Recovery

Hi, I am Ashley’s sister and I am hoping to raise money for her family for medical expenses. Ashley has recently found out she has an Intraventrical Meningioma tumor. I had no clue what that meant, but it is a tumor in my beautiful 35 year old sister’s brain! The tumor itself is pretty common, more common in women and almost always benign. However, the location is a bit odd because most are surface level but this one is about 2cm deep in the area where Spinal Fluid drains. The doctor plans to remove the tumor by going in through the back of the head, creating a pathway in a portion of the brain that serves no main function and is safe to manipulate.

 

Ashley is married to Ryan, a head boys high school varsity basketball coach and they have 2 adorable little boys who are 3 and 5. Ashley is a math specialist supporting high school teachers, curriculum development, and passionate about education. Ashley and Ryan spend their days helping others to learn, unselfishly educating and coaching teens and now they need our help.
