Hello, our names are Ashley & Kayla we are looking to help our best friend/sister Melissa Foster who was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer April of this year. We are hoping to take some of the stress and expense of this unexpected journey off of her so she can focus on what matters most. Her recovery & her children as she is a single mom. Any & all donations will go directly to her to be used for travel expenses to and from treatment in Galveston, drs appointments, hotel stays, medical supplies, & possible child care assistance in the event it is needed on days she is unable to tend to the kids from treatment. We are asking that if you feel it in your heart to donate to Melissa, and the kids to help alleviate some of the costs that are being incurred and will be needed for her to get to and from drs appointments & treatment, we would all greatly appreciate it. update: the drs have said course of action will be as followed. Melissa Will be going to and from Galveston every two weeks for 4 very aggressive chemo treatments to get things jump started. Then she will be going to and from Galveston every week for 6 months. Following her chemo She will then begin aggressive radiation treatments as well. Once that is completed she will be facing a mastectomy possibly a double mastectomy depending on how treatment is going. After surgery she will then be looking at chemo therapy again. At minimum we are looking at at least a year and a half to and from Galveston for treatment. Melissa is a single mom of 3 at home and already faces other health struggles with muscular dystrophy. She lives on a fixed income & with the help of her mom & grandmother. We are praying to make this next year as stress free as we can possibly make it for them. Recovery is our goal here and with stage 4 breast cancer she’s got one heck of a fight ahead. Please pray for strength & healing and if you have read this far please share. We love you all TIA
