Help Support the Love & Rock of our Family: Amy

Three years ago Amy was diagnosed with stage 3C ovarian cancer. After several rounds of chemo, surgeries and a serious infection caused by the chemo, Amy reached remission for a short time. As it did for many of you, 2020 came in with bang for us and as if the pandemic wasn’t enough, Amy’s ovarian cancer returned and she underwent months of chemo for a second time. At the end of 2020 we’re told once again that Amy had reached remission and she would have a break from cancer.
The break from cancer did not last but a few months; earlier this year we found out that Amy has a grapefruit size tumor on her liver. The location of the tumor rules out surgery and radiation as options. Chemo is not an option either as Amy finished her latest round less than a year ago and it was clearly ineffective for this tumor. After questioning two Oncologists, we were told that Amy would have two to five years to enjoy her life.
It was hard for us to accept that the only option was for Amy to undergo more chemo coupled with harsh drugs that would bring serious side effects. We realized we needed to do our own research and found a doctor in Kansas City that has begun working closely with Amy and has given us all some much needed hope.
Amy’s new doctor has been able to give her a form of treatment in Integrative Medicine before even thinking about sending our girl back to chemotherapy. This new treatment has the potential to keep Amy healthy and happy for many years to come. However, as you might have guessed, it is not covered by insurance.
Many of you, our friends and family, have asked how you can help; we are asking for financial help, prayer, and all the love you can spare. Anything you are able to donate will be greatly appreciated and will help keep Amy smiling for the long road ahead! Through community, love, faith, and her drive for life we keep fighting; now we need a little help along our journey. Most of you have a network of people who may care or would like to help - please feel free to share this on social media if you are able.
Thank you in advance, we love you all,
The McNultys
