Hi! I am posting this on behalf of Amber and her family who are close family friends of mine.
From her mom Abril:
My little girl, Amber, has hydrocephalus and a tumor on the pineal gland.
She is 10 years old.
She was the healthiest kid, until she turned 9 everything started to change
Headaches, dizziness, vomiting, not sleeping well...
I thought she had a kid's migraine until she started to lose sight in her left eye and lose balance when walking, she was barely talking and I was in shock. So we went to the doctor and they started moving quickly. They found out that she needed emergency surgery. We were terrified and in shock at all the changes made so quickly. We are so blessed to have her safe and sound now, after the surgery for the valve for the hydrocephalus. She is doing pretty good, and loving being with us again after 20 days in the hospital, being with her little brother is making her gain strength for what's coming next...the tumor surgery. We want what's best for Amber and if we can get her to the best doctor we will take her anywhere. I don't want her to suffer any longer. She just wants all this to end and be a memory. She wants to sleep and wake up all fixed up. So she can travel with her brother and family, she wants to feel the snow, and she wants to go to a warm beach and eat at every restaurant around the world. We are hopeful that we will do all this with her.
We will need help with medical costs, transportation, food, and a place to stay when we travel for the next surgery. We will appreciate anyone's help, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much! ♥️
Amber loves ramen (eating is what she loves the most) and she was so unhappy eating at the hospital.
She loves her family, especially her little brother.
She loves watching movies, cartoons, and anime.
She can keep a conversation with anyone about anything.
She loves making friends, doing handcrafts coloring, drawing, and making her own stories.
