I first met Allen after my parents had forgotten my 35th birthday and I was crying at a bar. I was recently divorced and very sad, and Allen made sure that I didn't feel alone. I now count him among my dearest friends, and so am asking for your help. Allen's health is suffering, and two trips to the ER in the last nine months, followed by extended ICU and hospital stays have taken a significant toll on his finances, as has the extended care he is required to undergo. This includes multiple medications, supplemental oxygen and respiratory assistance, and ongoing treatment by a number of specialty physicians. If you have ever met Allen, you've met a true friend.
