My name is Shaelyn Grant. I am raising money to help support my mother and me in our time of loss. My stepdad, Alan Seacat, or Max, as many knew him, was involved in a fatal car accident. He was working in Vernal, Utah, at the time of his death. We will bring him home, which will be a substantial cost. This cost will also include a funeral to memorialize the incredible man Alan was.

Many words can describe Alan (Max); dependable is one of many. As the word spread that such an incredible loss had come, our house filled with loved ones. As each person came in through the door, I reminisced on all of the selflessness that came from Alan's life. Alan did absolutely everything in his power to take care of his family, and his family didn't just end with Mom and me. Although losing Alan is one of our greatest losses, we are blessed to have friends and family that we can count on.
