Help with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia Funding

Hi, my name is Julian and I am fundraising for my beautiful friend, Eva Bernal, who was just diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APL) while teaching English to young children in Xiamen, China.

 

Eva is currently hospitalized and is basically in a bubble until she can receive treatment. APL is the most curable subtype of acute myeloid leukemia in adults, with approximately an 80% cure rate and 90% remission rates, but the treatment needs to begin as soon as possible.

 

All funds raised will go directly to Eva's treatment. While it is heartbreaking that this is happening to my friend so far away, she does have the moral support of friends made in China and, thankfully, the cost of treatment in China is exponentially less than here.

 

Eva enjoys working with children, hiking, writing, and painting. Please help so she can quickly recover and come home.
