My mother, Brenda Druck, has been in the hospital since January 18th with a severe diverticulitis infection that led to severe sepsis, pulmonary edemas, and other complications.

We recently discovered that this happened because, after 20 years, she has a rare relapse of acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

These past 20 years have been filled with a celebrated teaching career, seeing the world, and most importantly, embracing life to its fullest.

Now, as she's getting ready to go home to continue recovery, begins her AML treatment and navigates the continued pandemic severely immunocompromised, any support would be appreciated.

Ways Your Gift Will Be Used:

Gas Cards to and from treatments and check-ups ($50-$100 a month).
Help with pet care costs ($50 a month).
House Cleaning Services (a one-time $200 expense).
Help with the initial $1,000 toward her caregivers' moving costs.
Airline Tickets to help her caregiver move from Maine to Pennsylvania (estimated expense of $240-$500).
Cost of Groceries ($150-$250 a month).
A Gift for Jefferson Hospital Oncology Staff (one-time expense of $200).
Help towards paying the $1,800 a month cost of "normal" bills.
