Help Winter Valley Family affected by House Fire

Hi, my name is Karen and along with two of my sisters, Jennifer and Linda, we are fundraising for our fourth sister and her family, who live in Winter Valley Ballarat, Victoria (Australia).

On Wednesday afternoon tragically her house caught fire. Firstly, we are very thankful that the family who were at home at the time were able to get out safely. However there is substantial damage to the kitchen, living rooms, ensuite, a bedroom and ensuite, as well as roof and decking damage. The rest of the house has water and smoke damage. They have only been able to take out some smoke damaged clothes and a few bits and pieces, and aren’t allowed back in at this stage. I can only imagine the devastation they must be feeling. Most of their possessions are gone or not salvageable.

They are in real need of help and support in this critical initial stage. The family is feeling very overwhelmed at this time, and have all the emotions to go through with this trauma. We know how challenging insurance companies can be, and they have been able to take very little with them.

It would be such a blessing to have your prayers and financial support for them during this very difficult time, so they are able to get some essentials that they need, including food and clothing!
