Winston is only four years old, and if you know me, you know how much he means to me. He’s my baby, my best friend, and a part of pretty much everything I do. A little over two weeks ago, Winston started coughing. I took him to the vet thinking it would be something simple that we could treat and move on from. Instead, things got serious really fast. Since then, we’ve been through multiple vet visits, emergency care, hospitalizations, blood transfusions, and so many tests trying to figure out what is going on. Last night, Winston had to be hospitalized again and receive another blood transfusion. His doctors have also found an area of his stomach that is thickened, and now we may need to move forward with a scope so they can see what is happening and hopefully give us some answers. At this point, we’ve been told it could be something like an ulcer, but cancer is also a possibility.

It’s honestly hard to believe that less than two weeks ago I was worried about a cough, and now I’m sitting here worried about something much more serious. I think the hardest part has been not having answers yet. I keep thinking that the next test will finally tell us what is wrong, and then there is another test, another hospital stay, or another decision that needs to be made. Through all of it, I’m just trying to make the best decisions I can for Winston and give him every chance to get better. The medical bills have added up very quickly. I’ve covered as much as I can on my own, but between his emergency care, hospital stays, blood transfusions, testing, and the possibility of a scope and additional treatment, I’m reaching a point where I need some help.

Any money raised will go toward Winston’s veterinary bills and continuing his care while we work toward getting a diagnosis and figuring out what comes next. If you’re able to donate, even a small amount would genuinely help us. If you aren’t in a position to donate, sharing Winston’s GoFundMe would mean just as much to me. I just want my boy to feel better and come home. He’s only four, he has so much life left to live, and I’m going to do everything I possibly can to give him that chance. Thank you for reading this, sharing, donating, checking on Winston, or simply keeping him in your thoughts. I appreciate it more than I can say.
