Hi, my name is Bella, and this is my 3 month old Jack Russel Terrier puppy, Winnie, she’s a happy, playful, and loving dog towards everyone.
Winnie was a surprise gift from my boss. Winnie holds not only has a special place in my heart, but in the hearts of the people I work with as well. Winnie lives and hangs out with me at the ranch I work at, and has come to be quite the best little helper already at such a young age.
On the evening of Monday, May 22, Winnie was ran over by a golf cart at my work while we were out and about. When this happened it fractured her femur bone in her back right leg. We spent the majority of the night at the animal hospital while they took x-rays and ran tests. They sent us home that night with medication to help manage her pain.
Currently, I am waiting to hear back from the surgical team to know when they will be able to take her in. In the mean time they have recommended that she stay in a small kennel and only be taken out and set down to use the restroom. The vets are hopeful that she will be taken in for surgery this week where they will place a bone plate for support while she heals. The vets are hopeful that in doing so she will be able to live a long happy active life continuing to be a ranch dog.
Thank you to everyone that’s supported and loved Winnie and I both so far. It truly means the world to the both of us.
