Hello, my name is Miss Winnie Pooh. I am a female Pembroke Welsh Corgi that just turned 1 years old! My Pawrents are trying to raise funds to help pay for my surgery! I was rescued as baby from a puppy mill that wanted to discard me after I wasn’t sold in time by Determined to Rise Animal Foundation. Luckily, my Mom and Dad saw that I was rescued and available for adoption and they adopted me. Since then, I have lived the most happy and best life ever until now. This week I started limping due to pain in my front right leg this week. My mom made sure to bring me to the vet right away. My Doctor got X-rays of all of my legs and it turns out one of my growth plates fused too early causing a growth deformity in my front right leg. Because of this, it is putting extra pressure on my elbow and causing me pain and it hurts to walk! After long talks with my Doctor and Orthopedic specialist my pawrents have decided surgery is going to be the best option so I can live a long, healthy, pain free life. The surgery I need is called an Ulnar Ostectomy. In this procedure the Surgeon will cut my ulna bone to allow my radius to grow properly and relieve my elbow of extra pressure and pain. After surgery I will require a lot of rehab as well all of which will be costly. Other than needing this surgery I am a perfect puppy and very healthy so I should heal well. After reading my story, Please consider donating to help me! It would mean so much. Thank you!
