Help Winnie Heal After Rescue

Winnie’s story began in the most heartbreaking way—thrown from a moving car in West Virginia, he was left injured and alone. Thankfully, the Gockel family, Lake County residents, were in the right place at the right time. On their way home, they found Winnie and immediately brought him to safety. Despite his pain, Winnie’s gentle spirit shines through. He’s an adorable puppy who loves to snuggle, even as he recovers from his injuries.

After being rescued, Winnie was seen by a veterinarian and given medication to help with his pain. Unfortunately, he suffered a dislocated hip and now needs surgery to heal and have a chance at a happy, healthy life. The Gockel family is committed to giving Winnie the care he deserves, but the cost of surgery and follow-up treatment is more than they can manage alone.
