Fundraiser for Winnie's ruptured CCL (cranial cruciate ligament) surgery in her left knee!

I am writing for Winnie, my furbaby. I woke up this morning, and she looked like she had hurt her back somehow. Her tail was between her legs, she looked sad, like she had done something wrong, but she hadn’t. Chances are, she just got up from her favorite sleeping spot on the couch as she does every day, but today she just happened to get off the wrong way, or maybe it was the last straw for her CCL.

After some time at the vet, they talked to me about her ruptured CCL and her path of recovery. Today, we spent $559.60 to get her assessed; she got pain medications and an anti-inflammatory to help with pain relief and rest. Winnie is stable and comfy for now.

The ultimate goal is for her to get surgery to repair her knee as much as possible via a TPLO (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy). Winnie already has a savings fund however, the projected low and high estimate for this surgery is $3,665.94 to $5,147.30. That is in addition to what was spent today to stabilize her.

Winnie just turned 8 years old in January. She is a lab hound mix and is a very energetic and busy doggo! I want to provide her with the best care I can and help her to avoid as much long-term osteoarthritis pain as possible.
