Help Us Rescue 3 Sweet Island Dogs from a remote Fijian island
On a remote island in Fiji, three beautiful, gentle dogs have captured our hearts. Some dogs are island dogs through and through, and they should stay right here — these three just desperately want to be loved. Poor Winks is missing an eye. Mana Wolfie and Lady would trade any food for cuddles.
We are here in Fiji for three months as part of the medical team on a remote film location, and these dogs adopted us.
They’ve spent their short little puppy lives surviving on scraps, braving storms, and relying on the rare kindness of strangers. If they stay here, their luck runs out, and they likely die like so many before them. We tried to find local homes for them but we did not have any luck. But their luck is finally changing. We’ve found loving forever homes for each of them — homes where they will be cherished, safe, and part of a family.
Now we need some help to get them there!
We’re working closely with Animals Fiji, an incredible organization that provides lifesaving care to animals across the islands. They run shelters trying to adopt and foster animals. They run free spay and neuter programs. Together, we’ve developed a plan to transport these dogs to their new homes overseas, but the cost is high — especially from such a remote location.
We are trying to raise $7,000 USD to cover:
Veterinary exams and vaccinations
Parasite treatment and bloodwork
Spay/neuter surgeries
Travel crates and paperwork
Inter-island and international transport
Any funds raised beyond what’s needed for these three rescues will go directly to Animals Fiji, helping them continue their essential work: spaying and neutering animals, rescuing those in need, and traveling between islands to offer medical care where there otherwise is none.
We know there are homeless animals who need help everywhere in the world - and we all also give locally where we live - but every dollar makes a difference — not just for these three dogs, but for countless other animals still waiting for a chance.
Thank you for the consideration of being part of their rescue story.
Please donate, share, and help us bring them home.
