Support Wingmans Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
Dear family, friends, kind hearted strangers and lovers of chicken wings,

I am reaching out for support and prayers on behalf of my cousin Lisa, her daughter Aaliyah and husband Ashley (Ash) Perdue as their life has been turned upside down by Ash's recent and aggressive cancer diagnosis.

In late May Ash, a healthy 44 year old man, began struggling with back pain, fatigue and profuse sweating that he thought was from hours of work. In a matter of days his symptoms became so severe that he was taken to the ER. The doctors gave them the heart-breaking news that he had tumors all along his spinal cord. After 3 weeks in the hospital and multiple tests, the doctors diagnosed him with Stage IV High End Neuroendocrince carcinoma.

He underwent his first round of chemotherapy at the beginning of August. He faces a challenging battle in the next few months as the doctors develop a new treatment plan to control the fast spreading cancer.

Prior to the recent diagnosis, Ash spent much of his time with his family. From the moment Aaliyah was born, he became a prime example of a “Girl Dad” by making it a point to be present in her life. He was the stay at home dad for the early years of Aaliyah's childhood. From barbies to making her own music, he was with her for all her interests. She got into sports and Ash was present at every one of her games, walking up and down the sidelines coaching and encouraging her.

Last fall, Ash and Lisa had just begun fulfilling one of their many dreams by opening up Wingman’s for which they started serving up savory fresh chicken wings and hand cut fries at small pop ups and events before moving to a food truck at local San Antonio spot, El Buho. They worked as a team to develop unique flavors and build up their customer base, often inspiring Aaliyah to join in, taking customers orders, and helping the family business grow. He worked and toiled through all of his pain because he was trying to hold onto their dream, to provide for his family and live a better life.

While there is currently not a known cure for Ash, we want to help ease the financial burden and stress that their family is facing. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for them to cover living and medical expenses. We pray that Ash will find the strength to continue to fight and fulfill his wish to be with his family and get back to Wingman's. Please consider helping out Ash as anything that can be donated will greatly help the Perdue family during this perilous time.

Thank you and God Bless!
