Help Win Get His Family Out of Burma
Donation protected

Perhaps you have heard of the brutal military takeover in Myanmar (Burma), that took place on February 1. Since it began, I have been in constant email contact with Win Kyaw Zan, a good friend and photo guide for my tours there. Some of you participated in these tours and remember what a generous teacher and kind soul he is.
When the military coup began, Win was participating in peaceful protests, but in March they became violent and extremely dangerous. Now more than 600 civilians, some of them children, have been killed by the military. Since the violence escalated, Win stays home to protect his wife and three young children. He describes their situation as a living hell, with constant gunfire that they hear from their home day and night.
Because of Covid, and now the military violence, Win has not been able to work for more than a year, and is desperately trying to get his family safely across the border into Thailand. Unfortunately, the airport in Yangon is restricted with many flights cancelled, and all roads have military checkpoints.
Win believes he can successfully find a way to get his family out of Myanmar and is asking for our help.
As part of a caring community, please consider donating so Win can move his family to Thailand until this tragic crisis comes to an end. I will wire the funds directly to his bank account in Bangkok as soon as possible.
