The Wilmington Patriots 1st-2nd grade flag football team has worked incredibly hard this season, showing dedication and teamwork beyond their years. As a parent, I’ve watched these kids practice diligently, support each other, and overcome challenges to win both the local division and the east coast regional titles. Their commitment and sportsmanship have been inspiring to everyone involved.

Now, the team has qualified for the national tournament this summer—a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many of these young athletes. For some, this will be their first time traveling far from home, and it’s a chance for them to experience new places, build confidence, and create lasting memories.
