Willy is a stray dog who was recently dumped on my sister Marci and brother-in-law Lance’s rural property outside Norman, Oklahoma. This is the second time in just a few weeks that they’ve rescued a dog in need—Willy’s friend Reo was the first. Over the past few years, Marci and Lance have also taken in multiple stray cats, making sure each one is spayed or neutered and fully vaccinated. Their homestead has become a safe haven for animals who have nowhere else to go.

Willy’s situation is especially urgent. He arrived with a severe eye infection, and despite Marci and Lance’s best efforts, his left eye had to be completely removed. Now, Willy needs additional medical care, including neutering and treatments for dangerous parasites and other health issues. The costs for these procedures are significant, and Marci and Lance have already spent so much caring for the animals they’ve rescued.
