**Lets Help Wilfredo AKA: Willy-the-Plumber Get Back a truck which was lost to a fire / Willy needs Wheels**

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for your incredible generosity and support in the first round of fundraising for Wilfredo. Together, we’ve made great progress toward helping him recover from the misfortune of the fire that claimed his work truck and some of his tools.

However, we’re not quite there yet. Our friendly plumber still needs a bit more to secure a reliable replacement vehicle so he can get back to doing what he does best – serving our community with his plumbing skills, his smile and his good humor.

We’re reaching out to some friends and customers to ask for your help for our beloved local plumber, Wilfredo—known to some of us as: Willy-the-Plumber. He lost his truck to a fire a few weeks ago.

Wilfredo is the kind of guy who shows up whenever you need him, ready to tackle the tough jobs with a smile and a song. Not only does he do his work with genuine joy, but he often hums or sings an old Latin tune while fixing pipes, filling our homes with warmth, humor, and some music.

On October 3rd, Wilfredo’s old, trusted work companion—his pickup truck—was tragically destroyed in a fire. He was doing what he always does—helping a customer, no matter the place or time. But while parked in front of a client’s house, his truck caught fire, leaving him without the essential vehicle he relies on to serve his customers and the community. Along with his truck, some of his plumbing tools were also lost in the fire, making it even harder for him to get back to work.

One of the few things Wilfredo was able to salvage from the fire was his driver’s license, partially melted as seen in one of the pictures he sent us—a small reminder of what he’s lost. Since then, Wilfredo has been borrowing cars and catching rides just to keep up with his work. But we all know that without his own truck and tools, Wilfredo can’t continue to make a living the way he needs to.

When I see his hands, I see the many bruises and burns from a stuck water valve or a red-hot copper pipe. Now is our chance to extend our hands to Wilfredo-the-Plumber in this misfortune. In addition to the truck and tools, Wilfredo also needs to have his eyes checked. Despite his strong work ethic, the years have taken a toll, and might be in need of a cataract surgery to help him improve his vision. If you know someone who might be able to assist Wilfredo with an eye exam or cataract surgery on a pro-bono basis, it would be a tremendous help.

Our goal is to raise $6,000 to help Wilfredo replace his truck and get back some basic tools. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly towards getting Wilfredo the reliable transportation, and tools he deserves.
