Willowyn is our beautiful Andalusian mare — a deeply loved part of our family and herd here at The Ranch on the Clarence. Right now, she is suffering from a severe and painful case of laminitis.
Recent X-rays show significant rotation of her coffin bone, with only 3–5mm between the bone and the sole (normal is over 10mm). She is currently 4/5 lame and in ongoing pain.
Despite this, she is still bright, still eating, and still trying.
We are doing everything we can to give her a chance.
Right now, her care includes:
• Ongoing veterinary visits and imaging
• Pain management and medication
• Emergency hoof support (boots and specialist farrier work)
• Strict dietary management and supportive feeding
• Around-the-clock monitoring and care
Access to a specialist farrier is urgent and critical to her recovery.
Why we need help
The costs are already in the thousands — and rising daily.
At the same time, I’ve had to step back from work to care for Willowyn full-time. As a small, family-run property, this has put us under real financial strain.
This is not something I wanted to ask for help with — but the reality is that I cannot do this alone.
Where your support goes
Your donations will go directly towards:
• Veterinary care and medications
• Specialist farrier treatment
• Hoof boots and support equipment
• Feed and recovery care with clean bedding as she is stabled and yarded full time
Please help us give her a chance
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love and care for my horses. They are family and her horse family are waiting at the gate for her return each day.
We are doing everything possible to keep her comfortable and give her the best chance at recovery — but we need support to continue.
If you can donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
If you can’t, sharing this page would mean just as much.
Every dollar helps. Every share matters.
With gratitude,
Shanti
