My name is Michauxnee. I am the Executive Chef and creator of Willows & Pine Restaurant and Catering. I have created this campaign to ask the community to help support me in raising the working capital to bring on the staff needed to open and grow this restaurant. I am at the finish line and can see the light. With the help of The Real People's Fund I have been able to rebuild and continue the legacy of the Joseph Family, the original owners of The Barn in West Oakland, California through love and food.

I have done everything by the book, by the budget and still find myself needing additional support. I have poured my heart into my work and dug deep in my soul to create a space that will not only offer delicious food but the opportunity to uplift the community and create boundless meaning for everyone that crosses the threshold.

I don't have investors. I have had one funding source and have worked all I can to get the doors open. I can see the light and hope to open in just a couple of weeks.
