Trans woman trying not to go homeless and repair car for work.
I'm Ember, a trans woman in Washington state trying to avoid going homeless. I have been unemployed for ten months and constantly seeking employment that entire time. I graduated college ten months ago and lost my job at the university upon graduation. I have been searching for work of any kind since, and been unable to find any. I've been denied disability and unemployment benefits and don't have any other options. I received a pay or vacate this month, and was able to pay it but this means I will receive one again at the start of next month if rent isn't paid immediately.
My car battery and potentially alternator went bad and the entire front panel and bumper of my car have fallen off, and are only just hanging on after I reattached what I could. I have no funds to replace it so I can't do contract work like door dash which was the only thing keeping me even somewhat afloat. I lose health insurance in August, and my lease ends in July so I'm just trying to make rent at least until then. I've been battling depression, and having severe panic attacks while driving since the accident which caused the damage, making it even harder to function, find work and continue working. I don't have family I can lean on and have nowhere to go if the worst happens.
I just want to have somewhere safe and the ability to work.
