Help Willow Recover from a Tragic Attack

The morning of November 8th was a tragic day for our family. We had noticed Missy & Willow, our family dogs, had gotten out of our backyard while we had let them out to go potty. We went out looking for them and noticed Missy was running back to the house while Willow was nowhere to be found. We then went over to where Missy had come from to find Willow wounded. Willow was found on the train tracks with two wounds: one on her head and the other on her left hip. With the impact of the hit to the head, her left eye was popped out. Willow was then taken to Willamette Veterinary Hospital located in Corvallis, OR.

When she arrived at the hospital, they did some screenings to find out more. Willow’s hip is injured to the muscle. Luckily, the hit to her head did not penetrate the skull, but she is left with fractures and damage to her eye socket. She sadly lost her left eye. Despite all of this trauma, the vet techs have said that she is being very sweet and can say nothing but nice things about her.

She was in surgery last night and unfortunately that is where we need to ask for help. With the examinations, x-rays, surgery, and overnight stay, the current vet bill is approximately $8,000. Our first and foremost goal is to find the person responsible for this horrendous act. If you have any information, please contact Albany PD.
