Help willow get her broken leg fixed!
*UPDATE*
Willow has successfully had the amputation- with no complications, and everything going to plan, I picked her up just after 5pm, and she’s been sleepy since. Hopefully on the road to recovery now! Thank you to everyone who donated, just awaiting confirmation but hoping dogs trust have covered the rest of the funds.
This lovely lady is called Willow, she’s a 9 year old mastiff. After an accident she has a severely broken leg, she’s now been taken from the owner and put with a loving family. Although to some people it seems wrong for us to have taken her on without having the funds- but it was our only option, otherwise she will have ended up being euthanised rather than saved.
She’s doing really well considering, but is definitely struggling with dragging her leg round when she needs to get up for food or toilet.
We’ve currently got her a prescription of tramadol and metacam to keep her as comfortable as possible, but she is booked in with the vets on Thursday morning to have the leg amputated. Unfortunately we couldn’t save it due to severity of the break, and the amount of times it’s been left in this way.
We have been estimated £1500 for the procedure, but have been warned they could be complications- like it taking longer than usual, or her needing to stay over night for monitoring, which means the price could increase.
We’re looking for help and support so we can hopefully get this gorgeous girl comfortable and on the road to recovery!
Any donations, big or small would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for reading
