Hi,
My name is Martin, and I’m writing this as a very proud uncle, hoping to gather support for someone incredibly special to me—my 9-year-old niece, Willow.
Willow is a bright, creative little girl from Plymouth who loves drawing, laughing at Minions, and cuddling her ever-growing collection of Jellycat teddies. She’s the youngest daughter of my sister Stephanie and her husband Lewis, and a much-loved little sister to Poppy.
On the 12th of March, our world was turned upside down when Willow was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML). It was sudden and heart-breaking; everything changed in an instant.
Since her diagnosis, Willow has been undergoing intensive treatment in Bristol, far from home. She’s expected to be in hospital for around 8 months. Stephanie has been staying in Bristol full-time to be by her side, while Lewis balances work and caring for Poppy back home in Plymouth. The strain—emotionally, physically, and financially—is enormous.
That’s why I’ve set up this GoFundMe page—to help support Willow and her family through this incredibly difficult time.
What Your Donation Will Help With:
•Travel between Plymouth and Bristol
•Accommodation and living costs for Stephanie while she stays with Willow
•Support for Lewis and Poppy back home
•Loss of income and essential household bills
•Unforeseen costs that come with long-term hospital treatment far from home
Willow is showing incredible courage through every test, every treatment, and every difficult day. With your help, we can ease some of the pressure on her family and let them focus on the only thing that matters right now—helping Willow get better.
Whether you can donate or simply share this page, thank you. From all of us—thank you for being part of Team Willow.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Martin
Proud Uncle of Willow
