Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time to read this! My name is Willow, me and my partner Sunny (aswell as our two cats Bean and Sampson) have been in danger for months now and are hitting our tipping point on a safe exit.

Over the past 7 months, we have been subject to harrasment, threats and loss due to us being trans in the south, starting with me being cut from my position at work thanks to DEI cuts, as well as feeling unsafe in our apartment after receiving threats from neighbors about how “Our time is almost up and we weren’t going to be safe any longer.”

We are looking for help to escape Florida due to how anti-trans it has become, and before hurricane season. we are momentarily talking to a dear friend who is helping us set up in their home state. At the moment we are looking for assistance to clear our lease and help us escape to a safer and happier life where we no longer feel our lives are threatened and can exist in our community. Anything helps!, whether through sharing or through a humble donation.

The goal for such a feat is 6k to make this dream a reality. This amount will comfortably handle our bills as efficiently as possible. The plan so far is to spend 3.5k on ending our lease early so Florida doesn’t chase us out of the state, put 2k towards a deposit and first months rent in Washington State so we can focus on work when we get there, and finally any amount over that will allow us to better prepare for the move ourselves on this cross country escape to our new life!

If we are able to get to 1k it will allow us to pack up and begin our journey with a safe place to welcome us! At 2k we can put down our deposit when we arrive. 3k lets us get essentials and help get everything set up, and the remaining amount needed will go to clearing our lease and free us from the state of Florida.
