Help Willoughby Run Again: Support Her Surgery

Hi Friends.

Willoughby and I need your help!

About a year ago, she started having seizures. If you’ve ever experienced them, you know how terrifying it is. If you haven’t, it looks something like this— She would go stiff, let out a horrendous scream, fall over and convulse uncontrollably.

Our vet examined her and told us that she likely was having seizures from intense knee pain. Since then I have limited her activity. Which is why you don’t see us at the dog park anymore. :(

A few weeks ago she barely did anything and completely lost the use of her right back leg.

X-rays showed us that she has torn her ACL and needs surgery.

She is currently hobbling on three legs, but nothing can stifle her enthusiasm for life.

Many of you know Silly Willy and her love for running and chasing balls. Famously stuffing as many balls in her face as possible! She is not only my best friend, but a therapy dog to many of my clients. She has the sweetest disposition and loves everyone. Probably something to do with her being a Cancer baby.

Today is her 3rd birthday!

Mama is scrounging every penny together I can for this upcoming surgery in September, but I am way over my head on this one guys. The day of surgery is 4K. Plus the pre-opp and post -opp appointments. Tears are pouring down my face as I write this because asking for help is something I don’t do. She’s needs this though and I need her to be ok.
