UPDATE......

Willie has Wheels!

Thank you all for your help, the money raised payed for half of his car!! Four wheels never felt so good!  Marc great job in the search for a practical and reliable vehicle. Willie will post a picture soon I'm sure. Insurance and title done tomorrow, pray all goes well. Thank you again, this is a great gift for Willie and he is most appreciative.  Thank you to his angels who gave him rides to and from work as well.  Stay healthy everyone, many hugs and thanks from Willie!!!

I'm Stephanie, an old friend of Willie's.......see photo....this is our dear friend Willie. Doesn't he have a charming and loving smile?! It's because he really does have a heart of gold.

Willie was recently in a minor car accident, he's ok. But, unfortunately the insurance company has totalled his Impala and he has no transportation currently. A tiny note, the accident was not his fault. He was hit, but again, it was an accident as these things unfortunately happen. Insurance however, is not kind when it comes to these things and they are never good at compensating.

Willie is a hard working guy, with 2 jobs, and is on a very tight monthly budget. He has had medical issues come up over the last year and does not have funds set aside to help offset the minimal amount the car insurance company will pay him for his totalled out car.

He will be putting his money in a savings account until he has enough supplemental funds to help purchase a gently used car. Hopefully, soon.

Currently, searching for a used car in America is extremely difficult as the prices are sky high. Not a good time to be searching for a sound vehicle on a small budget.

I'm trying to help my friend, get additional support in a monetary way and/or maybe get linked up with someone who knows of a good vehicle for a 6 foot something man who is on a budget. No compact cars please, must be a mid sized sedan and/or small SUV/truck type vehicle that is NOT a gas guzzler. Plus he needs to be able to afford the car insurance on said vehicle. Sorry, not trying to be picky, just practical.

He can not afford a car payment on top of his rent and living expenses, thus me setting up a Go Fund Me page for him. I get nothing out of this, I'm just trying to help spread the word to our community of friends to see if there is a car aka diamond in the rough and/or find additional funds for him to stop worrying about how this will all come to be. He needs transportation to get to his jobs and he unfortunately, goes to work while we sleep, so finding rides is difficult for him and city buses are not running at that time of day.

Please share with friends to see if we can find help for our dear Willie.

2021 has not been kind to him, but yet he offers kindness and compassion to everyone he sees. A gentle giant of sorts, my BFG.
