Last week my best friend William Bardahl Manchester, a strong 37-year-old, received a life-altering diagnosis. Only five months before his planned wedding to his longtime girlfriend Sarah Morrow, he has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. After two decades in the Alaskan Fishing industry, including many years on Deadliest Catch, where Willi met lifelong friends and survived the Bering Sea. When the fishery’s got shut down. Willi reinvented himself and followed his older brother Griffin's footsteps to train for and qualify for his commercial pilot's license. Last May Willi was hired by a company that contracts for the U.S. Forest Service and flew planes all over the west coast spotting for forest fires. Now, his flight clearance will be taken away by the FAA and his employment prospects have vanished. As a result of his work in Alaska Willi was preparing for back surgery when they discovered MS lesions in his spine and brain, requiring immediate treatment. MS has better outcomes than ever before, but Willi is dealing with pain, difficulty walking, as well as muscle weakness and other challenging MS-symptoms and his long term outlook is unclear. We'd like to help him and Sarah raise funds for medical expenses aswell as to move into disability-friendly housing near her parents in Tucson, AZ, and help support them financially as they prepare for future mobility aids and loss of income. Thank you for everything you are doing to help support our Willi
