On Thursday, April 23, 2026, William Green, my nephew, was in a terrible car accident at the intersection of 135 and Sandflat Road. He had to be cut out of the Jeep he was driving and was life flighted to Ruby Memorial Hospital from the scene. William suffered broken ribs, broken vertebrae in his back, an injured spleen they are trying to save without surgery, and a crushed pelvis. He does not have medical insurance, and while we hope vehicle insurance will help, that process is long and uncertain. Right now, William will be out of work for months while he recovers.

William is not only my nephew, but also my best friend. When he realizes the full extent of what has happened, he is going to be devastated. Today, April 25, is William's birthday. I want to help him heal in peace and show him that he is surrounded by love and support.
