Hey y'all
I'm struggling with severe osteoarthritis and spinal stenosis, and require urgent lumbar fusion and tissue removal surgery to regain and maintain my ability to function. And that sucks!
The pain is almost crippling at times, but the worst thing is that I have to ask for help. I hate doing that. But it beats being on the streets.
I was hit by a car 8 years ago and it took 7 years to get my brain back to where I can work again. While I hold teaching credentials in Washington and California, I have faced numerous hurdles to professional and financial recovery. It can be depressing sometimes. But, there is a plan.
20 years ago I realized that if I wanted to make a difference in my professional education world I would have to be an administrator. But I hated the idea of being a high school principal. I preferred to be a good teacher. Then I had one lousy boss after another and I realized that I had to make the commitment. And I found a program to make it happen: Chico State University Administrative Masters Credential Program. Summer 2027. But between now and then I need surgery, aftercare assistance, respite care and rehoming. And a car. And relocation financing. That's a lot. I know. But I'm not asking for a lot, only a little bit and a share.
Contributions to this fundraiser will directly help me to return to the classroom, musical aspirations and regain my financial and housing independence. And even a modest donation can bring spectacular benefits. But I can't do it without your help. Just the price of a week of Starbucks. Or a couple 12 packs of good ales.
I thank you for your much appreciated support, especially by passing it on. You are lifesavers! Please share what you can.
Bless you all,
William Sadler
