Help William George Brown rebuild his home!

Hi, my name is Ashley Witherspoon. I am writing on behalf of my uncle, William G. Brown.

After the ice storm hit South Carolina this week, a fire broke out in my uncle's house on the late evening of January 18th, 2022. He is a 78-year-old man with spinal issues, never married and no children. He was in his home for over 40 years of his life. It was a devastating house fire. My uncle had paid his home off long ago and was no longer insured. He lost everything.

During the fire, he tried to save items out of his home, a neighbor came over and got him out, thank God. All he could do was watch from the street helplessly as the fire engulfed his beloved home of over 40 years. Community members came over with coats, shoes and a wheelchair to assist him until fire and rescue came. He did receive medical treatment and had 3rd-degree burns on his lower legs and burned off some facial hair. We are thankful that he made it out safely and that no one was hurt.

My family and I would like to raise this money to help him rebuild his home and help with the necessities. He has always been very independent, and we would like to restore some normalcy into his life as much as possible.
