Help William Floyd Family Rebuild After Devastating Fire
Donation protected
On Friday, March 14th, my boss and friend, Tina Diorio, experienced an unimaginable tragedy. A fire tore through her home, quickly spreading and destroying nearly everything. In a matter of moments, her family of six and their dog lost the place they called home. While they are grateful to be safe, their home is now uninhabitable, and they are now faced with the overwhelming reality of having to start over from scratch. If you know Tina, you know she is one of the most selfless and giving people. Though she would never ask for help herself, after seeing what she and her family are going through, I felt compelled to step in and do something.
Tina has spent her life caring for others. Many know her from her years as a preschool and infant/toddler teacher at Rubber Ducky Childcare, a volunteer with the local Cub Scout Pack 138, and her commitment to bettering the lives of individuals with disabilities. Tina has dedicated her time and heart to helping others thrive as an active part of the William Floyd community. Her home has always been open to others, hosting pool parties and movie nights for children in the community. Now, she is the one in need of support.
While they did have renter’s insurance, it does not come close to even covering a fraction of their losses. Their biggest priority other than securing stable housing, is ensuring that their daughter, a high school senior, can finish the school year and graduate with her classmates in the district she has attended since kindergarten.
I am asking for your help in rallying around this incredible family. The funds raised will go directly toward finding new local housing and replacing daily essentials like clothing, food, and bedding. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference in helping them get back on their feet. If you’re unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this with your network and keeping them in your prayers.
Let’s come together and support a woman and family who have given so much to others in their time of need. Thank you in advance for your kindness, generosity, and support.
