My name is William, and I’m reaching out because I need to have a Cystoscopy with Ureteroscopy and Lithotripsy to remove a temporary kidney stent and kidney stones. This procedure is necessary for my health, and it’s something I can’t put off any longer. The process has been stressful, and the thought of handling the costs on my own has added to the worry.
This all started on December 3, when I had pain in my left side, and went to the ER it was determined that a kidney stone was stuck in my ureter (the pathway from the kidney to the bladder), and causing a backup of urine into my kidney and an infection. There is also one in my kidney. So the wonderful team, put a stent in the pathway leading up into my kidney to help alleviate the fluid and infection. I spent a few days in the hospital to make sure no issues from the procedure and for the infection to come down.
They scheduled the removal of the stent and to blast up the stone in the ureter and to hopefully get rid of one in the kidney. They may have to put another temporary stent in the ureter.
The funds raised will go directly toward my out-of-pocket expenses for this procedure. The hospital requires a deposit on the day of the surgery, and unfortunately, my insurance isn’t what it used to be. Every contribution will help me move forward with the care I need and ease the financial burden during this challenging time.
I have been on Long Term Disability since 2024 and Short Term Disability since 2023, for an unrelated issue. So my funds are very tight. I am paying previous balances with them as I can, but I really need help for next month.
I know the holidays are here and everyone is strapped for cash, but any amount will help put a dent into this. Your support—whether it’s a donation or sharing my story—means the world to me. Thank you for considering helping me get the treatment I need.
