Hi my name is William and I am an Explorer Scout in Weymouth. I have been in scouting since I was 6 and am now also a young leader at my local Beaver group, helping others enjoy scouting.

I am really excited to have been selected to represent Weymouth scouts in Gdańsk, Poland at the World Scout Jamboree 2027.

I need to raise £3200 to get me to the camp and training camps beforehand, I will be running various events and activities to raise the funds but anything you could donate would be much appreciated!

The World Scout Jamboree is one of the most significant events in the global Scouting movement, bringing together thousands of young people from around the world to celebrate unity, adventure, and cultural exchange. Held approximately every four years, the Jamboree is a gathering unlike any other, offering Scouts the opportunity to experience a world of diversity while participating in activities that foster personal growth, leadership, and global citizenship.

Attending a World Scout Jamboree is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many young people. The event typically lasts around ten days to two weeks and is filled with a wide array of activities designed to challenge, educate, and inspire. Scouts participate in outdoor adventures, cultural exchanges, community service projects, and educational workshops. These activities are crafted to align with the values of Scouting, such as leadership, teamwork, and respect for nature and others.
