Help William attend LOSW and beyond!

My name is William Weidner, and I am raising money to attend a pay to sing program and Weimar Germany called “Lyric Opera Studio Weimar”. I have been cast in two roles this summer for their upcoming production of WA Mozart’s “Don Giovanni“. First, reprising as the heroic Masetto, who jumped at the opportunity to defend the honor of his bride Zerlina. And second, as the noble and immortal Commendatore, father of Donna Anna, who gives his life to defend her honor.

But I do not plan to settle for just this. It is my hope to make the leap, and move to Germany to pursue a full-time opera career.

Pay-to-sing programs are unavoidable as someone pursuing opera a career, and these funds would go towards helping me make that dream a reality. The money would go towards tuition for the program, as well as to the ticket to Germany.  It is difficult for me to raise funds now because I am juggling between working part time, taking care of my parents, both of whom suffered strokes during and after the pandemic, and helping my family to move out of our house. Things are chaotic, but I am determined to make this work, and I am hoping your efforts will help.

This is a huge step. I am taking in my career, and in my very life and I appreciate any and all support in this endeavor!
