My name is Willa, and I am a Black transgender woman currently facing the threat of eviction due to the ongoing recession. Despite working hard and doing everything I can to stay afloat, the economic challenges have made it incredibly difficult to keep up with my rent and living expenses. I am in the process of being approved for new affordable housing in my area, but the timing and financial strain have put me in a very vulnerable position. The thought of having an eviction on my record for the next ten years and the possibility of wage garnishment is overwhelming and frightening.

Throughout my life, I have been extremely passionate about giving to others in times of need. Helping people brings me joy and purpose, and I have always tried to pay it forward whenever I could. Now, I find myself in a position where I need to ask for help, and I hope that someone will be willing to help me in return.
