This Gofundme is an appeal on behalf of our friend and colleague, William “Will” Oliver.
Will is a Product Inspector at Barrette Outdoor Living in Dover, Delaware. In the early hours of Monday, April 4th, Will’s home in Milford, Delaware caught fire while he was asleep. Thankfully, and miraculously, Will awoke and managed to escape his home before it was completely engulfed and destroyed. He did, however, suffer 2nd and 3rd degree burns to 60% of his body. He was subsequently airlifted to Crozier Health Burn Center in Pennsylvania for emergency treatment where he has a long road of recovery and rehab ahead of him…both at Crozier and thereafter.
Will lost absolutely everything in the fire, his home and everything within it was totally destroyed. His only family is his sister Cammy, who lives so close that embers from the fire hit her house. Cammy is going to help Will during his recovery but we are appealing to anyone that sees this to help him rebuild his life. Whatever you can contribute will help.
On the morning of the terrible fire, Will’s first concern was to let the plant know he wouldn’t be able to work that Wednesday. The second concern he had was for the two fellow employees he drove to work who wouldn’t have their ride next shift…this says a lot about the kind of person Will is. He also wanted to make sure that we (BOL) were okay doing this appeal - we assured him it was okay. He is a good person who cares about his sister and his work colleagues and family. Please donate whatever you can to help him in this ultimate time of need.
