Help Will, Leila and Stella Recover from Eaton Canyon Fire
Donation protected
Please help support Will Bowles, Leila Fakouri, and their darling 8-year-old daughter, Stella, who recently lost everything in the Eaton Canyon fire in Los Angeles County. My name is Liz Barone, and I came to know Leila, Will, and Stella through a mutual, dear friend and the school that our children attend.
Last week, in one horrible instant, everything Leila, Stella, and Will owned was consumed by the fire - their gorgeous home in Altadena that they have been painstakingly renovating for several years into their dream home; Leila’s newly created art studio at the back of the property; all of their cherished belongings, including their own artworks and irreplaceable family mementos; their sense of stability and security; and the neighborhood that they love so much.
To make matters worse, Oak Knoll Montessori School in Altadena, where Stella and my daughter both attended school, also burned to the ground. OKMS was a central part of the life and sense of community they were building in Altadena, and all of us are absolutely heartbroken at the staggering losses suffered in the OKMS community.
Thankfully, they are safe (as is their beloved dog Koa); however, they have a daunting task in front of them as they begin to recover from these unimaginable losses. They need their friends, family, and community to rally around and support them as they navigate through this terrible time. Anything you can offer will help them tremendously in the coming months as they rebuild their lives - whether it's a cash donation of whatever you are comfortable with (which will only be used for non-covered expenses) or sharing the link for this GoFundMe! Every donation will go directly to the family.
Thank you for your positive thoughts and kindhearted support for this sweet family. Together we can help them heal and move forward.
