Help Will Fight Keratoconus: Painful Path Ahead

Donation protected
My 19 year old nephew, Will, was diagnosed with keratoconus and needs the cross linking procedure in both eyes. One eye at a time, 2 weeks apart. Him and his family will be traveling to and from Indianapolis, IN quite a bit Mar-Apr. Cross linking doesn't correct his vision - it stops the progression of Keratoconus.
About a month after the 2nd eye procedure, Will would start the hard scleral contacts to further keep the eye round & improve vision. The coning shape is making his vision poor and distorted. This procedure is PAINFUL and will actually make his vision worse at first like he will see worse walking out of the procedure than he did walking in.
I am asking for money in any amount you could possibly spare for my nephew because his seasonal job ended and he has been trying to find work which has proven difficult. Now he is at the point he can't legally drive either. These challenges all cost money. If I had the money to just give him I would. He needs the help. He is a wonderful and kind human and most deserving of your generosity. He did nothing to cause this and is taking this difficult diagnosis like a champ - cuz that's how he rolls:)
Here's part of the kicker, regardless of how insurance responds, a huge chunk has to be paid UP FRONT! Yikes! Please help!
