Help Will Chidubem Nnadikawe – in a coma after heart attack

Our lives have been turned upside down. Our beautiful boy, Will Chidubem Nnadikawe, only 20 years old, is now lying in a hospital bed in Barcelona in a coma, on life support, after suffering a sudden arrhythmia attack on 22/08/25

This tragedy struck while Will was in Barcelona on a year out, full of excitement and dreams for the future. He was due to return home on Friday after living/working in Barcelona. In a matter of moments, everything changed. His heart stopped, and for 18 minutes he was without oxygen before doctors could bring him back. That lack of oxygen has caused brain damage, and the road ahead is painfully uncertain.

Will was born and raised in Belfast, where he and his family have always been a huge part of the community. His mum, Amelia, is a single parent who works at St. Gerard’s Special School, giving her heart to children with additional needs. Alongside her, her daughters Charlize and Kayla both pupils at Hunter house College have grown up involved in their community and supporting others. Today, this same family — who have given so much — need that support in return.

Amelia has dropped everything to be at Will’s side in Barcelona. She is facing not only the unbearable emotional pain of seeing her son like this, but also the crushing financial burden of hospital bills, specialist treatment he will require, and the huge costs they will need to stay over there with her daughters while staying close to him.

Anyone who knows Will will tell you about his bright smile, kind heart, and the way he lights up every room. He had so many dreams ahead of him, and now we can only pray he finds the strength to wake up and fight his way back.
