Help Wildlife Rehabilitators - Texas Floods

The Texas Hill Country flooding has had an unspeakably tragic impact not only on human communities, but on wildlife, as well. Wildlife rehabilitators impacted by this catastrophe - whether directly, by having their facilities damaged or destroyed, or indirectly, by the massive increase in intakes of injured and orphaned birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians - need your help more than ever.

Our nonprofit, Animal Help Now, maintains the Wildlife Rehabilitator Emergency Fund (WREF), exactly for crises such as this. We offer this service, because we have greater access to wildlife rehabilitators than anyone anywhere in the United States.

WREF offers rapid small grants to rehabilitation centers and home-based wildlife rehabilitators impacted by floods, fires, tornadoes and other disasters, most within just a few days of the event. WREF is open for applications now (see www.AHNow.org/WREF).

Please donate to WREF today in to help the wildlife rehabilitators impacted by the floods. This is in contrast to the normal days, when it's the rehabilitators who are there for us!

Your support is especially critical to home-based rehabilitators, who are often self-funded and do not have the ability to fundraise even on good days.

Animal Help Now uses 10% of donations to operate this program. Ninety percent of your donation is quickly and effectively delivered to the people on the front line when disasters impact wild animals.
