HELP WILD SIDE FARMS BUILD THEIR GREENHOUSE!

THIS IS A FUNDRAISER TO HELP WILD SIDE FARMS WITH THEIR DREAM GREENHOUSE PROJECT FINISHED BY MID/LATE AUGUST 2021!! ALL DONATIONS WILL GO TO MATERIAL COSTS, IRRIGATION, BUILDING TABLES, LABOR, etc. 

Hello Guys!  I thought long and hard before considering a Go Fund Me Fundraiser.  I've recently been reminded that it’s okay to be open, vulnerable, to ask for help and receive help.  I want to share my dream and hard work with my community.  I love what I do and that's what makes work fun.  I also want to provide people with plants that aid in making people self-reliant, medicine makers and growers of their own food.  I want to share with you what I see as the future of Wild Side Farms.  

My name is Allie Harris and I am the owner of Wild Side Farms, a certified herb nursery based in Sarasota, FL.   Wild Side Farms started in 2016 as a back yard nursery supplying the community with medicinal herbs, culinary herbs and Florida edible plants.  Over the years we have really enjoyed connecting with the community and sharing our plant wisdom and knowledge.  We focus on soil health using bio dynamic practices and vermicompost to enrich the soil.  All plants grown at Wild Side Farms are grown with organic practices, healthy soil and are pesticide free. The goal was always to be a 100% full time grower and to be able to share my gift with the community.  A few months back, I reached out to my friends at Florida Native Plant Nursery and shared my dream of expanding the growing operation of Wild Side Farms.  They offered me the opportunity to move the business to their property which would allow me to build the business to what I have always dreamed it could be.  Over the past month, I have been working non-stop with one worker and a few awesome individuals who have donated their time and muscles to help get the greenhouse built from the ground up.  The goal is to be fully moved to the new location and be up and growing by mid/late August, just in time for our Fall growing season.  My challenge has been that I can’t seem to keep up with the on-going increase in the price of building materials.  At this point in the project, I am focusing on irrigation, building tables, running electricity to the greenhouse, etc 

The goal is to expand our growing operations to a larger variety of plants for the community and offer online plant sales and ship throughout the country.  We are focusing on Medicinal Herbs, Culinary Herbs, Edible Flowers, Florida Edibles and Heirlooms.

Our website, in the future, will be set up for online plant orders and shipping so we can reach a greater number of people.  We will also offer herbal tea blends, amended soil, fertilizer, and more.
