Building a place where children can play, explore, and thrive—naturally.

Starting Wild Oaks Outdoor Playschool from the ground up has been a journey filled with both joy and challenges. Every day, I see the wonder in the children’s eyes as they explore, create, and connect with each other and the natural world around them. Watching them grow in confidence, curiosity, and kindness reminds me exactly why I started this program in the first place.

My Why

Wild Oaks was born from a deep desire to:

✨ Wrap children in beauty and wonder through meaningful outdoor experiences.

✨ Disconnect children from the technological world and reconnect them with the natural one.

✨ Provide extended periods of uninterrupted play, where creativity and problem-solving flourish.

✨ Support children’s developmental needs—emotionally, physically, and socially—through nature-based exploration.

As our program continues to grow, we’re working hard to provide the kiddos with the best possible environment to support their learning and play. But building a preschool from scratch, especially one rooted in outdoor learning, doesn’t come without its challenges.

What We Need

We’re hoping to raise funds to add more challenging gross motor opportunities, high-quality open-ended toys, class sets of various tools, and expanding our outdoor space. Our current goals include:

✨ A climbing/treehouse platform to encourage balance, strength, and bravery.

✨ Mats and crash pads to support sensory needs and safe physical play.

✨ Fencing expansion to give the children more room to explore and engage with nature freely and safely.

✨ Class sets of binoculars, large magnifying glasses, etc.

✨ Additional quality open-ended materials (new additions to our oversized magnetic wall, blocks/gears/stacking materials, new dress-up costumes, loose parts play items, large quantities of tempura paint, etc.)

These additions will make a world of difference for the children—allowing them to take healthy risks, develop coordination, and deepen their connection with the outdoors.
