Help Wichana Foundation Expand Free Dental Care in Remote Ecuadorian Communities
In the first eight months of 2025, Wichana Foundation has brought free dental care to over 500 people across eight underserved indigenous communities in Ecuador—many of whom live in areas with no dentists and/or lack the financial means to seek care.
Thanks to the dedication of volunteer dentists and assistants, we’ve reached the indigenous communities of:
San Antonio Del Punje
El Cercado
San Martin
Iwas Chupa
Peguche
Piñan
Puerto Santa Ana – Puyo
Cuyabeno – Sucumbíos
These brigades are powered by a mobile dental station—a compact, generator-operated unit light enough to fit on a canoe or in the back of a small pickup truck. It’s a lifeline for families in the Amazon and Andean highlands who would otherwise go years without treatment.
Why We Need Your Help
We’ve seen the transformative power of these brigades: children relieved of chronic pain, and entire communities uplifted by care delivered with dignity and respect.
But one mobile station can only go so far.
We’ve determined that with an additional mobile dental station, we could double our reach and serve more communities waiting for care.
Our Goal: $5,000
Your donation will help us:
Purchase a second mobile dental station
Stock essential treatment materials
Cover travel and logistics for volunteer teams
Every dollar helps us bring health equity to places where the need is great —but financial resources are lacking.
