In 2015 driving down the highway one kilometer from her house, Whitney lost movement in her body. She was taken to the hospital where she spent a week under-going test after test, with no results. During that time her left side regained movement. After returning home she spent an additional month in a wheelchair as her right side slowly began to work again. As she fought back against whatever was causing this she progressed to crutches. As she was waiting for her mobility to return, she was adamant that when the next season came, she would be able to wakeboard.
However, this was not the end. Her mobility continued to come and go sporadically. In 2018, after little to no help or answers from doctors in Canada, she sent off blood to an Igenex lab in California where she tested positive for Lyme Disease. The doctors in Alberta will not recognize the validity of this test and so they will not treat her as a patient with Lyme. Since that test was completed Whitney has fought to stay healthy. She successful completed college and found a job working at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Recently though, her health has deteriorated severely. She is all to often not able to get out of bed, let alone go to work. There have been countless nights spent in emergency rooms, with doctors sending her home unable to walk, telling her that they can not find anything wrong. This illness is impacting her life in a way that no individual should have to deal with.
We have close friends and family that have struggled with the same problem. Through their experiences and stories of success we heard about Sanoviv Health Clinic in Rosarito, Mexico. Because there have been truly amazing success stories about healing and recovering from this facility, we believe that bringing Whitney here could be the answer that is needed in order for her health to be restored. With this though, comes the cost. So, we are asking those that are willing to contribute, to do so. This is something that we truly feel could help Whitney, but we are simply not able to do it without your help.
