Help Whitney Fight Breast Cancer

A 32 year old mother of two needs your help to begin her Cancer treatments, and her insurance won't cover any of it. After a routine visit with her doctor Whitney discovered a lump in her breast. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on March 13th, 2018. Since her diagnosis Whitney and I have met with the best Doctors in Los Angeles. Our Oncologist is Dr. Maurice J. Berkowitz, and our surgeon is Dr. Deanna Attai. Whitney's so-called insurance is Unified Health One, which until her diagnosis seemed to be fine. Since her diagnosis she has had 5 Biopsy's, 2 Ultra Sounds, CAT scans, and Genetic Testing. We were told not to worry, and that Chemotherapy would start this week (April 14th). We were also told that she will have 6 sessions of Chemo, 1 session every 3 weeks and we have been assured that she would be approved to start Chemo ASAP. Yesterday (April 18th) Whitney had the port placement installed for the Chemo treatment, which is placed inside her chest for the Chemo drip to enter through the catheter into her main vein.

As of today, April 19th, Whitney found out that her insurance will not cover the necessary Chemotherapy. Since enrollment has passed and given the aggressive Cancer that she has, waiting is not an option. The first treatment starts at $24,500, and this is where we need your help. We are grateful for ANY help in this fight and will do whatever it takes to make sure Whitney gets through this.
