I am fundraising to help rebuild white rhino collective, a small woman owned business, after it was horrendously burglarized on the morning of September 26. The burglars not only destroyed all entrances to the shop, but stole practically everything of value from inside. All tattoo machines, needles, power supplies, electronics, stencil printers, and most of the ink. When this person decided to rob these artists, they did not just take things of value, they took away their ability to earn a living and make their art. Anyone who has ever been to a tattoo shop will tell you the importance and rarity of finding a place filled with wonderful people who do amazing artwork and treat you like family even if it’s your first visit. Amanda, Okie, Dave and Kenny have poured their heart and soul into making the shop a truly remarkable and special place. It is nothing short of heartbreaking to see their work stripped away. This shop and the wonderful artists who work there have created a safe space that welcomes everyone, and support one another in their community. I know not everyone is in a place where they are able to donate, but if you can, please consider donating to get these artists back in the shop. All of the funds raised will go directly to replacing the equipment that was stolen, and the cost of the repairs to secure the shop. Of course, money alone will not heal the wounds from the trauma of this violation and suddenly losing everything you’ve worked so hard to create. However, we as a community of artists and art consumers can still show up for these amazing people, and show them that their work matters, and that they are not alone. thank you for considering, and if you cannot donate now, please help to share. Thank you all!
