Help Whisky Heal: Support Our Beloved Pup's Recovery

This past Saturday started as a perfect day. The weather was beautiful, and while I was preparing for Van’s birthday party, the kids were outside in the yard playing baseball. Our beloved dog, Whisky, joined in the fun as he always does—full of energy and joy. But in an unexpected and heartbreaking turn, Whisky suffered a freak accident that resulted in severe head trauma and a massive seizure.

We rushed him to the emergency vet, where he required 24-hour monitoring and immediate care. The prognosis was uncertain and terrifying. The vets feared a potential brain bleed, as he was bleeding from his nose, and there was concern about a traumatic brain injury. With close observation, oxygen therapy, and medications, Whisky began showing signs of improvement.

While we are incredibly relieved that Whisky is on the path to recovery, he is still dealing with facial tremors and instability while walking. He will need ongoing medication and care over the next several weeks as his brain heals. Whisky is not just a pet; he is a cherished member of our family. His playful spirit and unwavering love mean the world to all of us, especially to the kids, who adore him deeply.
